These intelligent animals lead complex social lives and communicate with each other in strikingly familiar ways – squeaks, squeals, and other sounds that humans cannot hear without special tools. The seafood industry is also destroying the environment, leaving our oceans littered with trash and abandoned equipment. That’s why this Pisces season we are honoring six vegan restaurants across the country that make the world a better place by offering vegan seafood dishes. These eateries contain all pets are excluded from the menu, which means that they help fight speciasis and stop climate change while cooking delicious meals.

Sandwich without fish at Earth Burger, San Antonio, TX
Vegan take on a classic grilled fish sandwich at Earth Burger: Sandwich without fish, which consists of a crispy fillet without fish, breaded with lettuce, tomatoes and vegan tartar sauce on a whole wheat bun. The fillet is flavored with seaweed flakes, giving it the unforgiving taste of the ocean.
Bagel & Lox at ESSEN, Cincinnati, Ohio
ESSEN calls its food “praiseworthy” and we have to agree. IN Bagel and Locks is a staple brunch that includes pickled tomatoes, vegan cream cheese, capers, red onions and dill on a locally sourced bagel.
Vegan Spiced Salmon at Old Abe & Co., Rochester, Minnesota
Fresh herbal products Old Abe & Co. Spicy salmon The bowl includes homemade salmon salad with shirachi, soy-marinated carrots and red cabbage, peeled edamame, sesame radish, crispy chickpea balls and ginger-garlic gochujang aioli. It is served on a brown rice sushi pillow.
Fisch Fry Sandwich at Cheeze Factory Restaurant, Baraboo, Wisconsin
Cheeze Factory offers impressive Fried fish sandwichwith two fillets fried in batter, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles and a garnish of homemade tartar sauce on a fried ciabatta bun. It comes with a salad of your choice, or corn chips and salsa.
Vegan Tuna Salad at Kindred Restaurant, New Orleans, Louisiana
We celebrate this vegan comfort food destination for its aromatic plant foods. Tuna saladmade from crushed chickpeas and served on a spinach pillow with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, avocado, croutons and a little spicy mayonnaise. Try Kindred’s other favorites without fish, including the shrimp and tuna sandwich.
Phish & Chips at Earth Aloha Eats in Lahaina, Hawaii
You can’t go wrong with any of Earth Aloha Eats’ healthy and delicious meals, but we can’t get enough Fish and chips… The meal features crispy, golden vegan fish served with herb fries, sprouts, rainbow cabbage salad, tartar sauce and lemon wedges.
