Aura previously showed us teaser that the
Company will be releasing a new version of its Smart Ring in collaboration with fashion house Gucci. As expected, the company has now released a new version with an emphasis on the iconic Cucci design language. It is the same ring as the previously released third generation Aura ring, but it is formulated in a much different way. The ring is black in color but adorned with gold details and Cucci logos. The ring uses 18 carat gold.
Apart from the new look, Gucci version also gives you complimentary lifetime Aura membership, which we will talk later in this post. Also, the charger is having Gucci styling. Otherwise the ring has no other novelty spot. It offers same features. Price for this Gucci version is $950. As comparison normal order ring is about $300. The ring is shown at several Goodsy flagship stores. You’ll find Gucci version of the ring in Aura’s web pages and there’s separate product pages on here where you can find out more about it. I’ll add the links to the description as well, but as we know, Goodsie Aura Smart Ring is about from the look. Technically, Aura Ring its latest third generation model. So let’s have a quick look on what it can offer.
As we go through features that apply to this Gucci version and normal Aura ring as well. One of the strengths of Aura ring is the advanced sleep tracking, so the ring allows users to optimize their sleep and monitor it in many ways. The ring also measures activity, body temperature and readiness. The ring can be used to measure your heart rate during the day and as it has precise research grade temperature sensors.
Aura uses your body temperature to understand your body’s signals and with temperature data, Aura might even discover when you may be getting sick, sometimes even before you experience any symptoms. And for women, Aura uses your temperature data to help you predict your period. Each month. It will visualize your cycle in the app. Gucci Aura connects and use the same Aura app as other normal Aura rings. Aura app is clear and informative. In the home page you can see daily summary, which is easy to check, for example every morning.
And for those who want to dig deeper, you will have details under readiness and sleep tab. Readiness number is showing quite well if you are ready for workout or something, or if you should take it easier. It takes into account your sleep activity and body stress signals like body temperature and HRV. You can also add your workouts or whatever activity you’re having, you can estimate and set the intensity of the exercise, but it can be also something like yard work or yoga and other events that you can add to your day.
And it’s easy to scroll back later if needed. And to all this when time goes by, you can see trends in your body signals and all those events you Mark there is showing there as well, and you might notice some patterns. And also to mention that all this data that Aura is collecting can be integrated to both Apple Health and Google Fit. There’s also guided audio sessions, wellness and educational sessions, videos and more. Under the Explore tab. Aura’s content library includes over 50 audio sessions for meditation, sleep focus, energy boost, and more. You can monitor how your body responds to each guided audio session.
If you see that particular session helps you fall asleep faster or calms your body, you can add it to your daily routine. Auto membership grants you full access to an evergrowing suite of features in the app, daily health insights, personalized recommendations, an expanding library of guided audio sessions, and educational videos inside the Aura app. It’s goodsy. Aura Ring includes complimentary lifetime membership with normal ordering.
If you’re not an early adopter that got free lifetime membership, you would need to have subscription and monthly fee is, for example, in US 599. So this is something special to Kutzi Ora version owners. But we do need to talk about something about some feature updates. We are still waiting for some new features that weren’t available right at lunch of Aura Ring back in end of 21.
I mean the hardware in the ring is there, but software to support those were missing and those features were workout heart rate, blood oxygen sensing, and an enhanced sleep staging algorithm. And obviously this affected Kutchi version of Ring as well. So workout heart rate has just been released and it’s set to roll out during June 22 if you haven’t yet received an update.
And it will support running, cycling and walking. And Aura is saying that more workouts to be added throughout the year. Then blood access and sensing is set to come in summer 22, so we don’t have any exact month when it’s arriving. This is interesting feature. Understanding variations in your overnight blood oxygen level, a measure of how well your body circulates and absorbs oxygen will help you get an even more enhanced read on the quality of your nightly rest.
And last one is updated sleep staging algorithm. It’s set to come in autumn 22. This is something I’m really waiting and interested to see how it performs. So battery life for this tiny device packed with electronics and sensors is excellent. It’s set to last up to seven days, which is really good. Ring comes with a charger that’s unique for each side and Gucci version has its own Gucci style charger as battery life is many days for few day trips.
You don’t necessarily need to bring your charger with you Gucci aura ring looks very Gucci. You wouldn’t guess from outside that this beautiful piece of jewelry is an activity and sleep tracker packed with high technology.
