Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been demoted to the very bottom of the royal family list on the royal family website, just above Prince Andrew.
The couple recently returned to the UK and extended their stay following the death of Her Majesty the Queen.
However, despite the hopes of reconciliation between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the royal family, things are still not clear.
Previously, the couple had remained fairly high in the site’s rankings, sitting in the middle, below Prince William and Kate Middleton, despite the fact that they had not worked in the royal family for some time.
But they have since been demoted below the Duke of Gloucester, Princess Alexandra and the Duke of Kent – but remain above Prince Andrew.
While Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, who do not work in the royal family, have been removed from the page entirely.
However, Prince Harry’s page on the website says, “The Duke of Sussex, fifth in line to the throne, is the youngest son of the Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales.”
In the midst of all this, King Charles III is said to be hopeful that things between them and the rest of the royal family can be reconciled.
In King Charles’ first address to the nation since the death of Queen Elizabeth, he referred to his son, Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle, saying, “I want to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives abroad.”
