Galveston, TX – Just in time for spring break and the lifting of state restrictions on the coronavirus, PETA will place a banner over local beaches that says: “Tofu has never caused a pandemic.” Become a vegan. PETA “. The message hopes to reach beach lovers when it comes to understanding the risks associated with farming animals for food.
When: Saturday, March 13, 12:00 to 14:00.
Where: The plane will fly over Vostok and Stuart beaches in Galveston.
“While animal-borne diseases thrive in meat markets and slaughterhouses, tofu is pure and healthy and can be prepared in many different ways than fish in the sea,” says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “PETA reminds revelers that no deadly viruses, life is a beach“And everything will go smoothly when they choose delicious and versatile vegan foods.”
Not only is tofu cheaper than meat, but also rich in protein, cholesterol-free, and lowers the risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and many other life-threatening health problems. COVID-19 is believed to have originated in the live animal market in China, where animals are sold for food. Influenza viruses originate from pigs and chickens used for food, but never in tofu.
Photos will be available after the event. PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to eat,” opposes specisism, which is a worldview focused on human excellence. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
