Some people pass notes to kill time, others to save lives.
Think about how much you value your life – with friends, family, home, and hobbies. Imagine if someone decided that your corpse is more valuable than your right to life. THIS is the reality for most of the animals used for autopsy:
They never wanted to end like that.
Learn the facts:
- Cats dissected in classrooms can be lost or stolen companion animals. 🙁
- MILLIONS of frogs are harvested from the wild, thrown into sacks and sent annually to be killed and used for dissection.
- The stomachs of pregnant pigs are cut open and their piglets are slaughtered for dissection – often before they take their first breath.
- Animals used for preparation are often embalmed with formaldehyde, which is a known carcinogen. Fu!
But speaking out for the animals that are killed and used for dissection is as simple as handing over a note. With so many ruthless and educational alternatives to dissection, there is no reason to use animals in the classroom.
To take a position! Pass the note to one of your classmates with a convincing autopsy fact and take a photo of your note.Remember to end your post like this: peta.org #dissectionkills.
Remember: you have the choice… Will you do the right one? If you are a little nervous to speak up, PETA will be happy to speak with your teacher instead of you. 🙂
Completing this mission helps spread the message that we cannot use or abuse animals and brings us one step closer to living in a world where they are treated with respect and consideration. Thank you for your contribution to eradicating arrogance!
