PETA Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and include student and community groups, teens, adults and a variety of professionals. Whatever your talents, if you are looking to become an animal volunteer, we have a place for you!
PETA offers a number of exciting opportunities at our headquarters in Norfolk, VA for those in the Hampton Roads area, including the following:
- Tabling at local concerts
- Outreach at local fairs and festivals
- Attend seminars on topics such as pet care and wildlife rescue.
- Office work such as data entry, online research, preparation of mailings, phone calls, etc.
- Participation in local demonstrations and distribution of animal welfare leaflets.
- Traveling on PETA National Demonstration Tours
- Attending PETA’s weekly volunteer party on Thursday nights
- PETA Adopt-a-Street Participation
- Assistance with straw delivery during the winter months
- We respond to various articles with letters to the editor
- Providing a loving shelter for a displaced animal for a few days
