Jefferson City, Missouri. – On Monday, the Missouri House of Representatives will hear a bill introduced by Rep. John Black seeking to establish hunting and fishing rights in the state’s constitution. Black said PETA’s work is one of the reasons, if not the main reason, why he did it. See the following statement from PETA President Ingrid Newkirk:
This breastfeeding exercise from spokesman John Black does not exist when PETA knows that society will ultimately turn its back on those who take pleasure in torturing and killing animals and condemn those who cling to such atrocities.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way,” opposes arrogance, a worldview based on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
Note: PETA supports animal rights, opposes all forms of animal exploitation and provides information to the public on these issues. The Group does not participate directly or indirectly or interfere in any political campaign on behalf of or against any candidate for public office or any political party.
