Butte County, California. – Today, Wildlife Fund volunteer Barry R. Kirchner had to be hospitalized due to injuries sustained by a leopard in the animal’s enclosure. Below is a statement from Debbie Metzler, Deputy Director of Pet Law Enforcement PETA Foundation:
This disaster shows why no reputable animal care organization has ever allowed their volunteers to enter the enclosure with a big cat. PETA hopes that the public will now see this so-called “wildlife fund” for the fictitious reserve that it is – an organization with a history Tiger king– the style of petting the cub, the previous punishment for creating a danger to society and the blood of a volunteer on his hands
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to be used for entertainment” – opposes arrogance, which is a worldview focused on human superiority. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can provide more information.
